Welcome to Capital Gay Men!

Capital Gay Men is a group that provides a safe space for gay men to gather. It is our attempt to build a healthy and prosperous supportive community for the gay men in New Hampshire through various social activities.

We meet every Friday night at 7:30 pm in the Wesley United Methodist Church in Concord, New Hampshire.

Upcoming Meetings

2010‑09‑03 The Three Pillars of Photography. Jeremy is our host tonight and will demonstrate the 3 most important things to be thinking about if you want to stop taking snapshots and start taking photographs. You do not need a fancy or expensive camera to benefit from these tips. Bring your camera with you if you want to practice or if you have a question about your particular model.
2010‑09‑10 Reggie B will host the meeting: Sexual monogamy versus open relationships. Let's talk about monogamy, cheating, playing safely and 'contracts/agreements' between lovers about sexual exclusivity. Are gay men so sexual that they cannot be with only one partner? Is 'no-strings-attached' sex cheating?
2010‑09‑17 Movie Night. Join us for an evening of Comedy and Self-Discovery as we view "In & Out", starring Kevin Kline, Joan Cusack, Matt Dillon, Debbie Reynolds, Wilford Brimley, Bob Newhart, and Tom Selleck. "Kevin Kline plays...Howard, scrambling to go forth with his wedding to devoted Emily (Joan Cusack) and doing his frantic best to assert his manliness."
2010‑09‑24 Game Night This night is a fun way to socialize with other members! We need some new games to play. Please if you can bring one.
2010‑10‑01 In this fast passed life that we all live in, Sandie Perreault will help CGM Members find their inner peace through breath work, meditation and yoga postures. Sandie is a Certified Yoga Teacher. She was trained in the Bija Ananda Teacher Training Program (RYT 200 certification) with Tom Sherman. She has been practicing the art of yoga for 7 years and has been teaching for 3 years. She taught aquacise for over 10 years and is experienced in instructing classes with groups of people.
2010‑10‑15 Paul Smith, LCMHC will be presenting on: "In & Out of the closet: Exploring the traumas & triumphs of being in & coming out." Most gay men suffer from greater or lesser degrees of post-traumatic stress from the years of being confused and closeted and the effects of choosing to come out or not come out. Explore, release, celebrate, forgive (or not) the often lasting effects of our unique experiences as gay children, adolescents and adults working to claim our true and authentic identities.
2010‑10‑22 Joe H. will host Queer Gabby, CGM's take on daily advice columns. Members are asked to write out questions address to Queer Gabby. We will go around reading and answering the questions. You got questions we got answers. This night will be informative, funny and a good way to find out other members views on life.
